Ayşe Hassan
Ayşe Hassan
A new project from Ayse Hassan (Savages/Kite Base) sees her incorporating electronics and vocals to create an unsettling, beat driven, and wonky exploration of alternate personas. Exploring the duality of conflicting traits and selves, Hassan transgresses her comfort zone in search of another version of herself by experimenting with the ideas that can exist within one person - Absurdity of Being. I Speak Machine
I Speak Machine
I Speak Machine are vocalist and synth-nerd Tara Busch and filmmaker Maf Lewis. Together they make brooding soundtracks and horror/sci-fi films, creating audio and visual in unison and giving both elements equal prominence. Their approach is inspired by Spaghetti Western cinema duo Ennio Morricone and Sergio Leone, who used to play with score ideas for scenes while scripts were being written.

I Speak Machine’s debut offering is score and short film, The Silence. The duo’s first London show was a live performance of The Silence at the Purcell Room, London on 21st September with Tara on vocals and an array of vintage analogue synths, playing against a screening of the film. The Silence album released date is 19th January 2015 via Lex Records.
CURA MACHINES
CURA MACHINES
Cura Machines is the new pseudonym of composer, producer and sound designer Daniel Lea, who previously released two albums under the name L A N D on Important Records: Night Within (2012) and ANOXIA (2016). He has collaborated over the years with artists such as Ben Frost, David Sylvian, Yair Elazar Glotman, Leo Abrahams and James Kelly (WIFE), and has contributed sound design and melodic parts to Ben Frost's latest record, The Centre Cannot Hold, and collaborated on a L A N D track with David Sylvian on vocals, entitled "Nothing is Happening Everywhere". Besides from his noteworthy sound design work in many quarters, Lea has built up a musical range that is intensely visual and filmic that gives rise to an aural storytelling firmly pushing contemporary music and new-classical boundaries.
People
People
Amsterdam based electronics artist; People (Chris Hamilton) has been exploring the tensions within his world, playing with repetition and time to build beautiful, haunting melodies that slowly find their place amongst rhythms and tempos which are treated like clay. After years spent in the studio working on the records of others (Shobaleader One/Torres/Lump), he is set to release a series of 12s and perform live shows across the US and Europe in 2018.
