The Pan-Afrikan Peoples Arkestra
The Pan-Afrikan Peoples Arkestra
The Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra was founded by the illustrious
spiritual jazz entity known as Horace tapscott. Since their birth in
the early 70’s the group, which can consist of 15 or more members, has been doing shows in and around their home of Los Angeles, spreading the jazz ideologies of Tapscott. This ensemble is truly a fantastic representation of Spiritual jazz from Los Angeles and their live performances are not to be missed! Several of the original members still perform along with some younger players who hold immaculate talent.
Black Nile
Black Nile is a neo-spiritual jazz group whose core members consist of brothers Aaron and Lawrence Shaw. Their music is an intricate blend of hip-hop, fusion, spiritual jazz, and neo-soul. These young brothers have an untouchable track record, playing and recording with a wide range of artists from Patrice Rushen to Tyler the Creator.
