Ashley Shadow
Ashley Shadow
With the release of her eponymous first record, Ashley Shadow has at long last taken centre stage after over a decade of valuable contributions to highly regarded, diverse musical acts. Though possessing a voice of crystal clear beauty, Ashley spent the first five years of her musical career playing bass guitar for rock-noir outfit The Organ before recording and/or touring with Bonnie Prince Billy, Pink Mountaintops and Lightning Dust.

This 6-song EP endeavours to find certainty amidst incessant change and ensures that her talent -- a secret long known around her home of Vancouver, British Columbia -- will be shared with the rest of the world's melody lovers. Enlisting the help of producer and multi-instrumentalist Josh Wells (Black Mountain), guitarists Peter Le Grand and Darcy Hancock, Ashley Shadow has asserted an independent stake in the musical community she has enriched for so long.

Pink Mountaintops + Special Guests
The "trippy country meets stoner rock" of Vancouver's Pink Mountaintops is the brainchild of Stephen McBean, who is also the singer/songwriter/guitarist for Black Mountain, which was formerly known as Jerk with a Bomb. McBean's solo project was also known by another name, One Easy Skag. He began playing with Jerk with a Bomb in the late '90s, and the band issued three albums and a 7" under that name. By late 2003, both Jerk with a Bomb and One Easy Skag were rechristened with their mountainous names, and in the summer of 2004, the Pink Mountaintops' self-titled debut album arrived. While the album became one of 2005's most prominent indie rock releases, McBean brought Pink Mountaintops back the following year with Axis of Evol. The well-received Outside Love arrived in 2009, followed by a pair of Black Mountain releases (In the Future and Wilderness Heart). The group's fourth studio album, Get Back, dropped in early 2014.
The Cairo Gang
The Cairo Gang
The Cairo Gang is a trio from Los Angeles led by songwriter and singer Emmett Kelly, known mostly for a diverse array of previous collaborative efforts, including work with The Double, Rob Mazurek, Ty Segall, Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Baby Dee. The Cairo Gang's work remains the main focus, however, and it too has been vastly diverse, appearing currently as a rock and roll pop trio playing out around North America. The most recent album "Untouchable" is new pop driven rock and roll songs recorded together with Ty Segall. The sound vacillates between spiritual reference points of rock and roll history, while increasingly releasing the forms and becoming amorphous and situational. The band consists of Kelly on guitar and voice, Marc Riordan on drums, and Ryan Weinstein on bass.
